Next, Scottsboro resident Jack Gabriel highlights northeast Alabama, including caves, natural springs and geological formations found in Jackson County. Discussion of the Tennessee Valley region continues with Jonathan Goode talking about the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge and the history of Joseph “Fighting Joe” Wheeler—the only American general who served with both the Union and Confederate forces. Tim Baker talks about the Decatur area as having some of the most productive crop land in the state, as well as the evolution of the city of Huntsville. Russ Walters gives an update on commodity prices, and Capt. David Hare gives a fishing report from Lake Martin.

As its main guest, the show featured Chuck Sykes, Director of the Wildlife and Fisheries Division of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
